Megan & Blake’s Wedding — One Year Later

There are some wedding days you remember because they were beautiful, and then there are the ones you remember because of the energy. Megan and Blake’s day was both!! As their one year anniversary approaches, it feels like the perfect time to step back into a day that was filled with so much energy, emotion, and great joy.

Their story still feels like something out of a movie. They had known each other for less than a year when they got married, meeting at a friend’s wedding and experiencing love at first sight. It wasn’t slow or uncertain, it was clear, immediate, and real. The kind of love at first sight that people talk about but rarely get to witness so closely. And because of that, their wedding day carried this undeniable weight to it.

From the very beginning of the day, there was so much emotion in every little detail. Megan’s bridal look was stunning - from elegant sheer gloves to a dress train the size of a cathedral veil, and even her grandma’s jewelry on her hands. Every single bridesmaid, even the flower girl, was crying during the first look with Megan. You could feel how much it all meant to them in evert moment. It made even the smallest moments feel significant.

Megan and Blake are the kind of people who bring life into every room they walk into. They are joyful, expressive, and fully themselves, and that translated into every part of their wedding day. Nothing felt forced or overly structured. It felt lived in, present, and full.

The day itself mirrored that feeling so beautifully. It was one of those early spring days where rain had soaked everything with new life, and the first spring flowers were blooming on the trees on the grounds of the Glass Chapel. There was this sweetness in the atmosphere, like the world was waking up alongside them. There wasn't a dry eye during Megan’s first look with her brothers, then her dad. The weight of the day was pressing on every one of them in the most beautiful way.

As the day moved into the evening, the celebration only grew. Their reception was a reflection of exactly who they are - full of energy, fun, and special touches that reflected their personalities so well. From charcuterie boards on every table, to personalized sun glasses on the dance floor, a make-your-own cocktail bar, and Megan’s mini veil for the dance floor, it was a dance party to remember where guests and vendors alike had fun! Both Megan’s and Blake’s parents didn’t get to have traditional weddings, so they held separate surprise“first dance” moments for both of their parents. It was such a sweet moment to see the bride and groom with both of their parents holding first dances on the dance floor, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room during that moment either! It showed how much both Megan and Blake love their families and wanted them to feel loved and celebrated during their special day.

Truly everything about their day was so beautiful, emotionally charged, intentional, present, and special.

One year later, it still feels just as special.

And if their wedding day was any indication, their life together will continue to be just as full, just as intentional, and just as full of joy. They welcomed their first baby boy into the world earlier this year, and watching them live life to the fullest on socials has been such a joy.
